This is the Kinsgley Deluxe 30 which arrived in the UK for me earlier in the year. We discussed the specification of this amplifier of a period of weeks with a view to making it a standard model.

Looks:- When it arrived I was surprised by its good vintage looks, from its green vynl covering and pilot light to the controls and beige grill cover with gold piping. The overall dimensions are bigger than other 1 x 12 combos such as the Boogies, as the pine speaker cabinet is designed for a full bass and midrange response. Simon has tried many different materials for the speaker cabinet and the pine offers a good warm sound compared with harder woods or composites.

Front Panel Controls:- All fairly straightforward, with the standard power on/off and standby switches, Tone control which is an overall control at the power amp (like the tone cut on the Vox AC30's), reverb, bass, middle (with pull switch for tone circuit bypass), treble, bright switch, volume, gain (pre-amp), and two inputs. Input 1 uses volume and gain controls, input 2 uses only the volume control (acts like a clean channel).

Rear Panel:- effects loop with level controls, speaker jacks, 15/30 watt power switch, and fuse.

 Speaker:- one 12" Celestion Greenback.
